Terms and Policy

Rental Fees/Reservations:

Rental Fee is due before scheduled event time.

Theater rental: $150 or $200 for a three-hour block, plus $50 per hour or part thereof for any use exceeding agreed upon rental agreement. Included in the rental fee are 30 minutes grace time agreed upon rental time. Afterwards additional rental fee of $50 per hour will be charged. Please allow 1.5 hours for break-down time.

  1. Every Good Times Backyard LLC event includes the following: Our inflatable movie screen, a projection system, a pro-audio system, and firestick, laptop, or similar media player.
  2. Drop-Off Service: Our tech will deliver, setup & breakdown your rental equipment but may or may not remain on-site for the duration of your event.  If any technical difficulties arise, you will call our On Call Manager or the Delivery Tech for support.  In the event of rain, customer is responsible for covering equipment or moving it to a dry location.
  3. Directions: Renters will provide accurate directions to the site, and access to the site by at least 1 hour prior to the The location must have an accessible level ground to transport and setup equipment.
  4. SETUP:   Screen Location, Size & Surface Type:  Customer is responsible for ensuring our screen & projection gear will fit at rental location.  It must be completely dark (10 minutes after official sunset) unless indoors.  We normally secure our screens by placing sandbags on the ground around the screen. The location must be free of any aerial or ground obstructions 30 feet high and 30 feet behind the

A completely dark viewing area is needed in order to see the brightest image. Please be able to turn off any surrounding lights. Failure to have control of lighting in the area can drastically reduce the image quality and will thus provide a subpar experience to viewers.

  1. Power: Renters agrees to provide sufficient power at the site. We need a maximum of two 20 amp (normal household outlet) circuits. These need to be on separate 20 amp breakers, not two outlets that run off the same breaker. If you do not have enough circuits, or are not sure, let us know and we can arrange a rental of our generator for $100.  Power must be located no more 40 feet from the screen area. Lack of adequate site power to properly run the equipment is not responsibility of Good Times Backyard LLC. We cannot be held responsible for instances where power is disrupted for whatever reason, be it caused by circuit breakers tripping, power outages or our supply being disconnected by third parties, either willfully or by accident.

Generators: We do not include generator power as part of our standard setup, however we do offer generator rentals at additional charge.  Customer may provide a generator with at least 5,000 watts of continuous power and 2 separate circuit breakers.  Good Times Backyard LLC will not be responsible for customer provided generators that fail, trip breakers or otherwise don’t function with our equipment.

  1. Time: Good Times Backyard LLC begins setup approximately 2 hours prior to the movie time/sunset. The projector, screen, media player, and sound system will be setup within one to two hours, weather/wind permitting. Audio equipment setup and testing begins after the screen is standing, and projection tests begin at dusk. The screen will begin deflating approx. 5-10 minutes after the end of the agreed upon rental agreement. After the movie, all equipment will be removed within 1.5 hours or less. Please ensure that we have access to the site for at least 1.5 hours after the movie ends.
  2. Equipment Malfunctions: All equipment is new and under warranty for your assurance – however there is always the risk of technical malfunctions.  If we experience an equipment issue on-site, we will make every effort to get it fixed on-site or get replacement equipment delivered to your location within 60 minutes of diagnosis.  If we are unable to get the equipment working or are unable to get a replacement on-site within 60 minutes from our diagnosis of problem, then Good Times Backyard LLC will provide a rescheduled rental on a date mutually agreeable by customer and Good Times Backyard LLC not to be scheduled later than 6 months from the originally scheduled date.

We do not offer refunds for technical malfunctions.
Good Times Backyard LLC is not responsible and will not pay for incidental or consequential damages caused by any delays or equipment malfunctions.  This includes but is not limited to food, entertainment, labor, sponsorships, other rentals, or other costs incurred by customer in conjunction with this rental.

  1. Safety: No guest are permitted on or near the screen (i.e. kids) or in the projection area. Damage to our equipment caused by moviegoers is the responsibility of the renter. The renter is responsible for crowd control and security.
  2. Cancellations: Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or the agreed upon rental fee will be charged. Important Notice:  We DO NOT cancel/reschedule event rentals less than 24 hours to the day of the rental.  Weather predictions change (often) and we want your event rental to happen as scheduled.  If you choose to cancel or reschedule your event due to weather less than 24 hours prior to your actual rental date, you will be required to pay the agreed upon rental fee.
  3. The weather clause: Weather is the outdoor event planner’s biggest variable. We can’t change the weather, but there are ways to plan for We have radar on our cell phones, for frequent checking of local Doppler radar; this is a big help in planning for the evening. Sometimes having a rain date works, but it can complicate the schedule. You may shift event dates due to forecasted inclement weather. No charges will be applied if our staff has not begun traveling to your venue. Availability of the new date is not guaranteed until confirmed by us.

Our guarantee: If inclement weather prevents the complete screening of the film, where less than 50% of the film is presented, Good Times Backyard LLC guarantees the purchaser one make-up event in the current season. Inflatable Screens can take winds up to 24 mph (when trees start to sway vigorously). We can setup equipment with winds of up to 15 mph. Once the screen is standing, it can handle winds of 24 mph. The screen can safely deflate in less than 20 seconds
